Welcome to HMP Forest BankAt HMP Forest Bank, we aim to ‘change lives for the better’ by operating a safe, decent, and secure prison and by creating a respectful place to live and work, dedicated to improving the quality of life for all our prisoners. We strive to be highly effective in the delivery of our core tasks - safely inducting people into prison and working to establish supportive and influential relationships between staff and prisoners. From ground-breaking partnerships providing purposeful activity, employment, and education, to rehabilitation services and resettlement support, the prison is a dynamic and forward-thinking men’s prison which accommodates a diverse and complex population. Our vision is one of a first-class reception prison serving the courts and community of Greater Manchester and we consider it our duty and mission to contribute to a safer city.
Measles is a highly contagious disease that can affect both adults and children and we are currently seeing a rising number of cases of measles in the community. Please can we politely request visitors do not attend HMP Forest Bank if you, or your children, are showing any signs or symptoms of measles. Please note there is no cure for measles. The virus must run its course, which usually takes about 10 to 14 days. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring HMP Forest Bank remains a safe place to live and work. | |||||||||||
